Novotel Newcastle Beach, part of the Accor network, is seeking a Full-Time Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team. You will craft and plate dishes for a la carte and buffet dining, while working with a dedicated team focused on quality and service.

Qualifications

• Trade cooking qualifications are essential.
• Australian Work rights required.
• Previous experience in a similar role and environment is preferable.
• Respectful and professional approach to work and teamwork.
• Be physically fit to perform role-related tasks, including standing, lifting and movement of goods.

Responsibilities

• Actively share ideas and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
• Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for à la carte and/or buffet menus.
• Communicate effectively with the team and seek guest feedback.
• Demonstrate confidence and competence in preparation and cooking techniques.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Work closely with the team in all kitchen operations.
• Follow and demonstrate established food safety and handling guidelines.
• Ensure stock rotation, monitor stock levels and assist with food costing and control.
• Demonstrate commitment to Work Health & Safety procedures.
