Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) on Sydney Harbour in Rushcutters Bay seeks a dedicated Chef de Partie to lead a section in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, regattas and events.

Working with Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Team, you will maintain quality, lead a section, manage stock, ensure HACCP, and contribute to weddings, corporate functions and member dining.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Previous Chef de Partie experience, or a strong Commis Chef ready to step up
• Experience in restaurant, club, hotel or event catering environments
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Passion for producing quality food and memorable guest experiences
• Availability to work a flexible roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays

• Prepare and execute high-quality dishes across all service periods
• Manage your section efficiently during busy service
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation standards
• Assist with event and function preparation
• Support stock control, ordering and stock rotation
• Ensure food safety and HACCP standards are maintained

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) is seeking a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our world-renowned Sydney Harbour venue in Rushcutters Bay.

With a diverse food offering spanning casual dining, member dining, regattas, corporate functions, weddings and special events, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of service styles while working in a fast-paced waterfront environment.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Team, you will be responsible for running your section and delivering high-quality food across:

• Breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Member and guest dining
• Regatta and sailing event catering
• Corporate functions and special events
• Weddings and private celebrations
• High-volume service periods and large-scale functions
