Job summary

Deckhouse at Sydney Harbour (Woolwich) is seeking a Chef de Partie to join Dedes Waterfront Group. You’ll work across breakfast, lunch and premium events, including weddings and corporate functions, in a fast-paced waterfront setting.

Working with the Head Chef, you will run your section, contribute to high-quality food and ensure safety standards while delivering memorable guest experiences across breakfast, lunch and evening events.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up.
• Experience in restaurant, café and/or event catering environments.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume service periods.
• Positive attitude and strong team focus.
• Availability to work a flexible roster including mornings, weekends and evening functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute dishes for breakfast, lunch and evening event service.
• Manage your section efficiently during service.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of weddings, corporate events and private functions.
• Maintain exceptional food presentation and quality standards.
• Support stock control, ordering and stock rotation.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness and HACCP standards are maintained.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior chefs when required.
