Chartwells on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, is hiring a Full-time Chef to prepare nutritious meals for daily service in a school setting. The role covers lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, plus catering for school functions and events.

The right candidate holds a Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent kitchen experience, thrives in a busy environment, and brings strong organisational and time-management skills with solid food safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Cert III in comm cookery OR has demonstrated/proven commercial kitchen experience
• Takes pride in producing fresh, quality food
• Can work efficiently and thrive in a busy service environment
• Has strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Understands food safety and OHS standards and procedures
• Brings a positive attitude and passion for hospitality

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting fresh, nutritious meals for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner service
• Producing high-quality catering for school functions, events and special occasions
• Ensuring food is prepared to consistently high standards of taste, presentation and quality
• Assisting with menu preparation, food production planning and stock control
• Contributing ideas and creativity to menu development and function catering
