Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited, trading as Chartwells, is seeking a Full-time Chef in Ormiston, QLD to prepare and deliver fresh meals for school students and events. You will lead daily kitchen operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and mentor kitchen staff in a supportive, service-focused environment.

You will manage stock and ordering to meet budget, support apprentices and junior chefs, and work within a school community that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Chef.
• Bulk cooking with a strong focus on quality and presentation.
• Experience in school residential dining.
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and food safety knowledge.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Blue Card (paid) required.
