Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Chef to join a busy hospitality operation in Western Australia. This full-time role suits a passionate chef who excels in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and takes pride in delivering quality food.

You will help maintain kitchen standards, support menu development, manage stock efficiently and ensure a great dining experience for guests. Sponsorship/visa support is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• At least five years of commercial kitchen experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
• Availability to work full-time hours including hospitality-based shifts.
• Strong ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and reliable approach to kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes to a consistent high standard.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within required timeframes.
• Support the efficient daily operation of the kitchen.
• Follow recipes, menus and established kitchen procedures.
• Assist with seasonal menu planning and menu changes.
• Use ingredients effectively while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor stock levels and apply effective stock rotation practices.
• Reduce food wastage wherever possible.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Assist with the training and development of kitchen staff.
• Communicate effectively with team members during busy service periods.
