Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals per menu and venue standards.
• Execute daily service independently under Head Chef guidance.
• Contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials.
• Maintain quality control for presentation and flavours.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.
• Manage stock, monitor food costs, and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with cooks and kitchen hands for smooth service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals in alignment with menu specifications and venue standards.
• Execute daily service independently while collaborating effectively under the direction of the Head Chef.
• Contribute to menu planning, design seasonal specials, and manage prep requirements.
• Maintain strict quality control, ensuring consistent presentation and flavour profiles.
• Uphold rigorous food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation protocols.
• Manage stock control, monitor food costs, and actively minimize waste.
• Coordinate seamlessly with cooks and kitchen hands to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Mentor junior staff and kitchen hands by demonstrating advanced culinary techniques.

About you

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP).
• Ability to thrive under pressure.
