Job summary

El Jannah is seeking Restaurant Team Members to join our fast-paced FOH or BOH teams. No prior experience is required, with on-the-job training provided to help you deliver friendly service and great meals.

Whether you work FOH or BOH, you will rotate through tasks, maintain cleanliness, and help keep service flowing during busy periods. We value energy, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a fun, iconic Australian brand.

Responsibilities

• Front of House: welcome guests and deliver friendly service.

• Back of House: prepare menu items and fry items per standards.
• Dishwasher/Kitchen Support: wash and sanitise dishes and keep areas clean.

About the Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our team as Restaurant Team Members, working in either Front of House (FOH) or Back of House (BOH). This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll work alongside a great team, keep the energy high, and help create memorable experiences for our guests. No previous experience is required, with full training provided on the job.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your role, your responsibilities may include:

Front of House (FOH):

• Welcoming guests and delivering friendly, efficient service
• Taking orders and packing meals accurately
• Supporting service flow during busy periods
• Maintaining cleanliness across counters, dining areas and guest spaces
• Following WHS requirements and reporting hazards or incidents

Back of House (BOH):

• Preparing menu items such as burgers, rolls, salads and fried products
• Cooking freezer-to-fryer items in line with safety and quality standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in kitchen and prep areas
• Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils and equipment
• Following WHS requirements and reporting hazards or incidents

Charcoal Cook:

• Setting up and operating the charcoal pit safely and correctly
• Cooking and basting charcoal chicken to El Jannah recipe and quality standards
• Portioning, rotating, and preparing chicken for service
• Monitoring cook times, temperatures, and product quality
• Keeping the charcoal station, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organised
• Supporting service flow during busy periods
• Following food safety, WHS requirements, and reporting hazards or incidents
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience

Dishwasher / Kitchen Support:

• Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
• Operating dishwashing equipment safely and correctly
• Keeping dishwashing, kitchen, and waste areas clean and organised
• Supporting food prep and service teams by ensuring clean equipment is always available
• Assisting with basic kitchen cleaning tasks as required
• Following food safety and WHS requirements at all times
• Reporting hazards, faults, or incidents to the manager on duty
• Supporting smooth service flow during busy periods
