Lead change delivery for a major transformation program while contributing to broader enterprise initiatives through a newly established PMO.
Reporting to the Enterprise Change Manager, this role provides dedicated change management support to the Coal Mines Insurance (CMI) transformation program. You’ll lead a people-centred approach to change, helping CMI leaders, employees and project teams prepare for and adopt new systems, processes and ways of working. Working through the PMO, you’ll ensure the impacts of change, readiness, adoption risks and benefits are clearly understood and actively managed. You’ll also support other PMO initiatives, including the IT Portfolio, Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma, in line with PMO priorities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and deliver the change management strategy for the Coal Mines Insurance (CMI) program, ensuring alignment with program objectives, milestones and business outcomes.
Partner with leaders, stakeholders and project teams to build change readiness and support the successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working.
Conduct stakeholder, change impact and readiness assessments, identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve adoption outcomes.
Develop and deliver change, communication, engagement and learning activities tailored to diverse stakeholder groups.
Support leaders and sponsors to effectively communicate change, manage resistance and guide teams through transition.
Monitor change readiness, adoption and sustainment measures, escalating risks and providing recommendations to support successful implementation.
Establish and maintain effective change governance, reporting and tracking to ensure visibility of impacts, risks, benefits and program progress.
Provide change management support to other organisational initiatives, including IT, Operational Excellence and continuous improvement projects, as required.
Contribute to the ongoing development of change management frameworks, tools, standards and continuous improvement practices across the organisation.
Your education, experience and skills will include:
Minimum 5 years' experience in change management, business readiness or change adoption roles within complex organisational environments.
Experience with recognised change methodologies (e.g. Prosci, APMG or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience supporting transformation programs, PMO-led initiatives or enterprise-wide change projects.
Ability to develop and implement stakeholder engagement, communication, learning and adoption strategies that drive successful change outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and leadership coaching skills.
Experience identifying and managing change impacts, adoption risks, resistance and change fatigue.
Proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver both strategic and operational change activities.
Experience measuring and reporting on change readiness, adoption and business outcomes through established governance frameworks.

Employers pay a premium in exchange for workers compensation coverage - these premiums fund the cost of claims and also the majority of the Coal Services operation. Workers are the primary beneficiary of the CMI Scheme.
