Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning North Mackay is seeking a Centre Director to lead the centre and guide educators in delivering high-quality early learning. You will build strong relationships with children, families and the local community, shaping the centre’s strategic direction.

You will oversee program delivery, team development, daily operations, and customer-facing activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive and thriving learning environment.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Current Working with Children’s Check.
• Experience leading change in education or community services.
• Experience delivering integrated early childhood services in disadvantaged areas.
• Commercial and operational performance management experience.

Pay: $58.38 - $71.79 per hour, based on qualification and experience

As a Centre Director at Goodstart, you’ll be at the heart of our leadership team, playing a pivotal role in supporting and developing the Teachers and Educators in your centre. You'll build strong, meaningful relationships with children, families, and communities, fully embracing the profound impact of your role in their lives.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver our bespoke learning program developed in collaboration with global leaders in pedagogical practice
• Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement
• Work with your team to plan for the future of your centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business
• Run smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while putting the children and team at the heart of everything we do
• Create memorable experiences by greeting every family with warmth and delivering high-quality tours and orientations

You’ll need:

• An ACECQA approved bachelor’s degree of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Current State relevant Working with Children’s Check, Police Checkli>
• Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
• Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
• Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
