Job summary

Spotless is seeking multiple Casual Catering Assistants to join the Spotless team at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre in Villawood, NSW. You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious, culturally diverse meals as part of a subcontractor arrangement with Secure Journeys.

To be considered, you must hold a Certificate II or higher in Commercial Cookery, a valid Working with Children Check, and prior experience in a commercial kitchen with HACCP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (or higher) and valid Food Safety Certificates.
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee) is mandatory.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen with HACCP knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, preparing, and producing meals as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness across food prep and dining areas and equipment.
• Adhere to HACCP Food Safety Plan and complete documentation on time.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure it is clean and maintained.
