Job summary

Downer via the Spotless team at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre in Villawood, NSW, is seeking casual Catering Assistants to prepare and serve nutritious meals while upholding safety standards.

Requirements include a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (or higher), a valid Working with Children Check, and prior experience in a commercial kitchen, with strong HACCP knowledge and teamwork skills to support our client and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, preparing, and producing meals as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness across food preparation and dining areas, including equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to the HACCP Food Safety Plan by upholding food safety and hygiene standards, completing all documentation accurately and on time.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure it remains clean and well-maintained.

We are currently looking for multiple Casual Catering Assistants to join the Spotless team at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre in Villawood, NSW. As a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, Spotless is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, culturally diverse meals that support the overall health and well-being of individuals within the centre.

We're seeking dedicated Catering Assistants who are passionate about delivering exceptional food and customer service. To be considered, you must have a Certificate II or higher in Commercial Cookery and a valid Working with Children Check.

• Assist in assembling, preparing, and producing meals as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness across food preparation and dining areas, including equipment and utensils.
