Job summary

Catering Industries Pty Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team at our client’s aged care facility in Garran, ACT. You will contribute to meal service, kitchen cleanliness and dining room setup while delivering compassionate care to residents.

Shifts are morning and afternoon across Monday to Friday with flexible weekly hours and additional weekend/public holiday loadings. Competitive hourly rate starts at $27.08 AUD with casual loading, plus training and staff

Qualifications

• A current Federal Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Providing meal service to elderly residents
• Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes and plating of meals
• Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
• Food and beverage service

Join Our Team as a Catering Assistant!

We’re looking for enthusiastic Catering Assistants to become part of the vibrant kitchen team at our client’s aged care facility in Garran, ACT. If you’re passionate about great food and love making a difference in the daily lives of older Australians, this is the role for you!

This roster is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, stability, and a well‑structured work pattern.

• Choose your shifts: A mix of morning (7.00am till 2.00pm) and afternoon (3.00pm till 7.00pm) shifts across Monday to Friday.
• Competitive pay: $27.08/hr + casual loading ($33.85/hr Mon–Fri)
• Flexible roster: Enjoy flexible weekly hours, plus weekend and Public Holiday loadings

What You’ll Need
