Job summary

Compass Group Australia on the Gold Coast is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to support VIP corporate events. The role offers an $31.00 per hour rate plus 25% casual loading and superannuation, with flexible hours around day and night events.

The position focuses on food prep, presentation, cleanliness, stock handling, and delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced environment. RSA is required and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in catering assistance roles.
• Outgoing, creative and a bold thinker with strong organisational skills.
• RSA certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food for corporate catering menus.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Receive, unpack, and organise stock deliveries and supplies.
• Adhere to food safety and WHS standards in line with company protocols.
• Support the Unit Manager with daily on-site operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and actively engage with clients.

THE POSITION

THE PERSON

• Strong experience in catering assistance roles - major part of the position
• Outgoing, creative and a bold thinker with strong organisational skills
• Strong eye for finishing presentation, styling, pattering
• Great energy, flexible approach and immaculate presentation
• Food & Beverage and barista/coffee-making knowledge are highly desirable
• You hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
