Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a casual events professional to lead teams at premium events. The role offers growth opportunities, with shifts including weekends, early mornings, and evenings, and a starting rate of $27.98 per hour plus 25% casual loading.

You will manage high-end events, weddings, and corporate gatherings, working across indoor and outdoor spaces while ensuring top-level service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a team.
• Understanding of Commercial hospitality operation.
• Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards and allergen management.
• Adaptable and thrives in a multi-tasking environment.
• Great personal presentation and an outgoing personality.
• Available across a variety of shifts, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team across multiple retail and events venues, indoors and outdoors.
• Manage a range of event types: conferences, kids parties, sit-down and cocktail events.
• Train and develop junior staff; support management during large events.
• Provide end-to-end function experience and assist sales with post-event reporting.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and guests during events.
• Maintain event spaces and equipment in good condition.

THE POSITION

• Dynamic role that will work across multiple retail and events, both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Taking the lead in an array of event types including conferencing, kid's parties, sit down and cocktail events.
• Training and developing junior staff members and providing support to management during larger scale events.
• End to end function experience and providing support to our sales team with end of event reporting.
• Outstanding customer service to our valued clients and guests, ensuring their needs during events are met.
• Ensuring event spaces and equipment are looked after and well maintained.
