Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking an Events & Functions Supervisor in Victoria for casual, growth-oriented work.

You will lead a team across diverse venues, manage premium events such as weddings and corporate gatherings, and work alongside nature in a unique garden setting. Training and development of junior staff, plus close collaboration with sales for post-event reporting, are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a team in a hospitality/retail/events setting.
• Understanding of commercial hospitality operation.
• Strong knowledge of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards and allergen management.
• Adaptable and thrives when multi-tasking across events.
• Good personal presentation and an outgoing personality.
• Availability across a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team across multiple retail and events environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle a range of event types including conferences, kids’ parties, sit-down and cocktail events.
• Train and develop junior staff; support management during large-scale events.
• Provide end-to-end function experience and assist sales with post-event reporting.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and guests.
• Ensure event spaces and equipment are well maintained.
