Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Catering Assistant to support kitchen operations, serve customers, and assist with food prep in a fast-paced educational catering environment.

The role involves using the till, collaborating with team members, and maintaining hygiene standards. Casual position with a base pay of $27.09 per hour plus 25% casual loading, with shifts on Wednesdays to Fridays from 7am to 2pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or catering environments.
• Ability to engage with staff and students.
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain.
• Flexibility to handle diverse tasks from food prep to cleaning.

The Position

The Person

• Confident to engage with staff, students and clients of the school
• Experience working in hospitality venues & catering industry.
• Some experience with coffee making is advantageous
• Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
• Have strong organisational skills
• Excels in high-pressure environments
• Thrives in collaborative, small-team settings
• Possesses hands on experience with POS systems
• Friendly, customer-oriented attitude
• Being flexible to handle diverse tasks, from food prep to cleaning based on the needs at that time.
