VicVet in Whittlesea, VIC is seeking a Casual Veterinary Receptionist to be the friendly face at the hospital. You will support both Primary Care and Emergency services, manage bookings, payments and client communications, and help ensure a smooth day-to-day client journey.

Experience in veterinary reception is preferred; exceptional customer service and calm, professional composure are essential. Evening, weekend and public holiday availability is required in a fast-paced, team-focused

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary reception experience is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required.
• Remain calm and compassionate in busy or emotional situations.
• Organised, efficient and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident using computer systems; experience with EzyVet is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Managing incoming phone calls and emails.
• Booking appointments and coordinating schedules.
• Processing payments and managing accounts.
• Handling emergency enquiries and directing cases appropriately.
• Supporting communication between clients and clinical teams.

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team on a casual basis.

Located in Whittlesea, VicVet is a purpose-built veterinary hospital bringing together Primary Care, Emergency and Referral services under one roof. About the Role

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous veterinary reception experience (preferred)
• Has exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Remains calm and compassionate during busy or emotional situations
• Is organised, efficient and able to multitask
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Is confident using computer systems and learning new software (if you're already confident using EzyVet, this is advantageous)
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
