Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital in Sydney's northwest is seeking a full-time (or part-time for the right applicant) Customer Care Team Member to be the first point of contact for clients. You’ll help with puppy visits, emergencies and even saying goodbye, while keeping calm and guiding clients through processes.

The role involves managing front-desk reception, bookings, and payments, coordinating check-ins/outs, and liaising with veterinarians and nurses to ensure smooth patient care.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in customer-facing role.
• Available to work 4 shifts per week with rotational weekends.
• Experience with Ezyvet is desirable.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

Customer Care Team Member / Receptionist

Full-Time Customer Care Team Member | Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital

Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted part of the Hills District community for over 50 years. Located in Sydney's northwest, we are a well-established companion animal practice with a diverse and interesting caseload including dogs, cats, small exotics, birds and wildlife. You'll be joining a highly collaborative and supportive team of 6 veterinarians and 10 dedicated support team members.

We are looking for a full-time (or part-time for the right applicant) Customer Care Team Member. This is much more than answering phones and booking appointments. You'll often be the first person our clients speak to and the person helping them navigate everything from an exciting new puppy visit to a stressful emergency or difficult goodbye. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, communicates confidently and calmly, and can keep things moving when reception gets busy.

The Role:

• Manage front-desk reception, phone calls, emails and appointment bookings.
• Coordinate client check-ins, check-outs, payments and general enquiries.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records and update information as required.
• Liaise with veterinarians, nurses and the wider team to ensure smooth patient care.
• Provide clear information to clients about appointments, treatments and clinic processes.
• Assist with general administrative and reception duties to keep the clinic running efficiently.
• Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.

Our Ideal Candidate:

There is no need for your certificate IV or veterinary experience - great customer service skills, the right attitude and a genuine love of helping people are just as important to us

• At least 1 years’ experience working in customer facing position
• Available to work 4x shifts per week and a rotational weekend
• Previous experience using Ezyvet (desirable, not essential)
• Someone that has exceptional communication skills to build relationships with our clients
• An empathetic, caring person that always advocates for their patients
• An eye for detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice
• The ability to manage a busy appointment schedule & assist with reception administration tasks.
