The Wonthaggi Workers Club is seeking a friendly Casual Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our community hub. You’ll greet members and guests, handle enquiries about facilities and events, and assist with memberships and check‑ins, all while delivering first‑class service in a lively club environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills and ability to pick up new systems.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Attention to cash handling accuracy.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with hours.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Reception, hospitality or customer service experience is a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming members and guests with a warm smile and top‑notch customer service.
• Assisting visitors with enquiries about facilities, services and events.
• Answering phone calls and directing callers to the right people.
• Processing new memberships and renewals and updating member details.
• Getting involved in member promotions, raffles and club activities.
• Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions with accurate records.
• Assisting with motel enquiries, reservations and guest check‑ins when needed.
• Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and presentable.
• Collaborating with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Following club policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

What you’ll be doing

• Helping visitors with enquiries about our facilities, services and events

• Getting involved in member promotions, raffles and club activities
• Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions and keeping accurate records
• Helping with motel enquiries, reservations and guest check ins when needed
• Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and looking its best
• Working alongside other departments to keep everything running smoothly
• Following club policies, procedures and compliance requirements
