Job summary

Pacific National in North Sydney is seeking a Casual Planning Officer to join the Coal Service Planning team. You will support coordination of rail services, resources, and maintenance planning to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Reporting to the Asset and Maintenance Planning Superintendent, you will help develop and maintain resource plans, liaising with internal teams and stakeholders to minimise service disruption. A proactive, safety‑minded approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of rail services and resources to meet operational requirements.
• Assist with development and maintenance of locomotive, wagon and resource plans.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate planning activities and minimise disruption.
• Monitor resource availability and maintain planning information and reports.
• Identify planning issues and priorities to support service delivery.
