Job summary

Pacific National in Sydney seeks a proactive Asset Deployment Specialist to maximise fleet performance across our Coal business. You’ll deploy locomotives and wagons, balancing efficiency with safety and compliance, in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

You’ll use data to optimise deployment, manage disruptions, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Customer Service to deliver reliable service and strong commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in asset management, maintenance planning or logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Optimise locomotive and wagon deployment to meet operational demands and maintenance schedules.
• Make real-time decisions to manage disruptions and minimise service impacts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Network Providers to deliver service outcomes.
• Use operational data to improve fleet utilisation, reliability and commercial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance, safety and efficiency.
