Job summary

Pacific National in North Sydney is seeking a proactive, safety-focused Service Delivery Controller to join our Bulk team. You’ll help keep essential freight moving by coordinating live train services, crews and assets in real time.

The role offers full training, a rotating 12-hour lifestyle roster, and opportunities to learn across a busy rail network while delivering accurate information to internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused mindset and commitment to following procedures.
• Experience in coordination, scheduling, logistics or other fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Good attention to detail and comfort with computers and new systems.
• Willingness to learn and availability for rotating 12-hour shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Monitor live train services and support the safe, efficient delivery of planned schedules.
• Respond to operational disruptions and minimise impacts on service delivery.
• Coordinate train crews and assets to meet changing operational requirements.
• Provide timely, accurate information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain operational systems and work with network providers to keep services aligned with the plan.
