seek.com.au is seeking a friendly, organised medical receptionist to join a small team on a casual basis in Penrith, NSW. You will manage appointments, handle patient enquiries and support the doctors and administrative staff.

Previous medical reception experience is required; familiarity with Medicare billing procedures is a plus. The role is casual (2-3 days, Mon-Wed) with some weekend shifts and hours from 7:45am to 7:30pm. Own transport is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience is a requirement.
• Understanding of Medicare billing procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handling appointment bookings and patient enquiries with care and professionalism.
• Ensuring billing is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Familiarisation with Medicare billing procedures.
• General administrative duties, including processing payments (EFTPOS) and managing correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients.
• Provide administrative support to Doctors and management.
• Ensure the medical practice is clean and tidy at all times.
• Own transport essential.
• Excellent presentation and phone manner.
• Ability to multi task.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently.
