Monaro Medical Practice is seeking a reliable, friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team in New South Wales. As the first point of contact, you will handle reception and administrative duties in a fast-paced medical environment.

The role offers casual shifts to cover peak periods and staff leave. Strong communication, organisational skills and attention to patient confidentiality are essential, along with experience in medical practice software.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a reception, administration or customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Professional, friendly and compassionate manner.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Availability to work flexible casual shifts to cover peak periods and staff leave.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service.
• Answering incoming phone calls and managing appointment enquiries.
• Booking and triaging appointments in accordance with practice procedures.
• Processing EFTPOS, Medicare and other payments/claims.
• Data entry and maintaining accurate patient records in medical software.
• Managing incoming clinical correspondence, results and patient documents.
• General reception and administrative support duties.
• Assisting doctors, nurses, the Practice Manager and administration team as required.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception and waiting area.
