Job summary

Metro North Health Dietetics and Food Service is seeking a Food Services Officer to support patient care by preparing, plating and distributing meals while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

You will perform kitchen operations including dishwashing, tray stripping, trolley handling and cleaning, and you will deliver efficient, patient‑focused service in a fast-paced hospital environment on a seven‑day rotating roster.

• Prepare, plate and distribute patient meals and beverages in line with dietary requirements and procedures.
• Undertake kitchen operations including dishwashing, tray stripping, trolley handling and cleaning duties.

About the roleAs a Food Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting patient care by assisting with the preparation, plating and distribution of meals, as well as maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Working as part of the Dietetics and Food Service team at STARS, you will help ensure patients receive quality food services in a safe and efficient environment.This role offers a varied and hands-on workload, including food preparation, meal delivery, dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
