Job summary

Queensland Health, within Metro North Health, is seeking a Food Services Officer to support patient wellbeing through meal preparation, plating and distribution in a healthcare setting. You will help maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves food preparation, meal delivery, dishwashing and general kitchen duties, with a rotating seven-day roster and collaborative team work to ensure smooth patient

Job description

Provide exceptional food services within a healthcare setting, supporting patient wellbeing through efficient meal delivery, food preparation and high-quality customer service.

About the role

As a Food Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting patient care by assisting with the preparation, plating and distribution of meals, as well as maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Working as part of the Dietetics and Food Service team at STARS, you will help ensure patients receive quality food services in a safe and efficient environment.

This role offers a varied and hands-on workload, including food preparation, meal delivery, dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen duties. You will work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment, providing excellent customer service while contributing to the smooth operation of patient food services.
