Job summary

Metro North Health's Dietetics and Food Service team is seeking a Food Services Officer to assist with patient meal preparation, plating and distribution, while upholding high food safety and hygiene standards.

The role includes food prep, meal delivery, dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen duties, in a fast-paced healthcare setting with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out the role's duties in a hospital setting.
• Capacity to safely perform manual handling tasks.
• Willingness to work across a seven-day rotating roster.

Job description

As a Food Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting patient care by assisting with the preparation, plating and distribution of meals, as well as maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Working as part of the Dietetics and Food Service team at STARS, you will help ensure patients receive quality food services in a safe and efficient environment.

This role offers a varied and hands-on workload, including food preparation, meal delivery, dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen duties. You will work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment, providing excellent customer service while contributing to the smooth operation of patient food services.
