Job summary

Metro North Health is seeking a senior leader to manage a kitchen/food services team of about 80 staff, delivering over 480,000 meals annually across acute, subacute and mental health services at Caboolture Hospital.

You will drive operational excellence, workforce management, and continuous service improvements, while ensuring food safety compliance and robust record-keeping and stock control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large hospital food service operations.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, and performance management.

• Represent Caboolture Hospital Food Services in relevant forums and meetings.

About the roleIn this key leadership role, you will manage a team of approximately 80 staff and support the delivery of more than 480,000 meals annually across acute, subacute and mental health services. You will drive operational excellence, food safety compliance, workforce management, service improvement initiatives and a strong customer-focused culture.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:Provide proven management and coordination of compliance with Industrial Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
