Job summary

Goodstart Rockhampton is seeking a Casual Educator to support our 75-place centre with flexible shifts. The role is based at 245-253 Campbell Street, ROCKHAMPTON, QLD 4700, offering Monday to Friday shifts between 6.30am and 6.30pm and above award wages plus casual leave loading.

You will contribute to the education program, engage with children, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check.
• Willing to travel between other local services and flexible availability Mon-Fri 6.30am–6.30pm.

Responsibilities

• Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team.
• Engaging and supervising the children at all times.
• Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and team members.
• Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families.
• Complying with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures.
• Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.

You’ll Need
