Job summary

Goodstart Vermont – Canterbury Road South in Vermont VIC is seeking a Casual Educator to support our centres as needed. Shifts run Monday to Friday between 7am and 6:30pm, with above-award wages and casual leave loading.

You will actively contribute to the room’s education program, supervise children, maintain safety, and build strong relationships with families. A VIC Working with Children Check and ACECQA-approved qualification are required.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved early childhood qualification
• Current VIC Working with Children Check
• Willing to travel between local services
• Flexible availability between Monday–Friday, 7am–6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team
• Engaging and supervising the children at all times
• Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and team members
• Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Complying with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures
• Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement
