Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking an Administration Officer Level 4 for the Emergency Department at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will be the first point of contact, registering patients and welcoming visitors while guiding them to the right area, on a 24/7 casual roster.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and computer skills, with a professional phone manner and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with good time management.
• Flexible with work duties and location.

Responsibilities

• Register all patients at the Emergency Department efficiently and accurately.
• Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the ED reception.
• Direct patients to the appropriate area or person and assist as needed.
• Cover casual shifts on a 24/7 roster.
