Minor Hotels’ Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. The role supports smooth kitchen operation, helps prepare and present high-quality dishes, and delivers an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key duties include preparing dishes across all sections, working with the team to ensure efficient service, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
• Understanding of HACCP and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Flexibility to work across weekends and various shifts.
• Ability to coach and motivate junior kitchen staff.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation and presentation of dishes across all kitchen sections.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and food safety compliance.
• Develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen.
