Job summary

Usher Tinkler Wines Pty in the Hunter Valley is seeking a casual staff member for our Cellar Door to combine wine tasting with cheese and salumi platters, in a relaxed modern setting. This role focuses on wine sales, guest tastings and platter preparation, with training from our winemaking team and opportunities to expand wine knowledge through education.

Weekend work is required, including Saturdays, and a current NSW RSA is essential to join our small, friendly team committed to great guest

Qualifications

• Experience in cellar door, wine sales, or food handling
• Weekend availability including Saturdays
• Valid NSW RSA certificate

Job description

Our Cellar Door focuses on pairing the unique style of our wines with a high-quality Cheese & Salumi offering. We aim to provide a modern style of wine tasting in a relaxed atmosphere.

We are seeking a Casual staff member to join our small Cellar Door team at Usher Tinkler Wines. This role is equally focussed on wine tasting & sales, and the preparation of our Cheese & Salumi Platters.

This position is ideal for someone with previous Cellar Door, Wine Sales, and/or Food Handling Experience. Someone who enjoys progressive artisanal wine, has a love of the Hunter Valley, and is looking for a career in the wine industry.

As we are open 7 Days, weekend work will be part of your commitment. Saturday availability is a must.

A Current NSW RSA is a must.

Duties include;

• Learning and understanding our wines to be able to create an informative wine tasting experiences for our guests
• Wine sales and point of sale transactions
• Preparation and handling of our famous Cheese & Salumi Platters.
• Ability to work weekends, with Saturday work being a must.
• Ability to work within a small team
