Job summary

EVT Limited is seeking an experienced breakfast chef to join our QT Newcastle hotel team. You will focus on delivering an excellent breakfast and lunch offering with a small, dedicated team, while supporting other hotel operations.

You will train junior staff, maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards, and embody a proactive, guest-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CDP experience in hotels/restaurants.
• Experience across sections including pans, grill and larder.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication and positive attitude.
• Attention to detail with high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

Skills & Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced breakfast chef to join the team. This is a great role for someone that is looking to work mainly breakfast and lunch shifts. You will be working in a small team to deliver an excellent breakfast a la carte offering to guests and support the wider team across the hotel.

• 2+ years’ worth of experience as a CDP in hotels, restaurants, cafes, or bistros.
• Experience across different sections including pans, grill and larder.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Attention to detail, well-presented and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure, while still delivering a high standard.
• Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs while upholding professional personal grooming and positive team relationships.
