Job summary

Equal Grounds Support Services in Gladstone, Queensland, is seeking a casual Support Worker to provide compassionate, person-centred care to older adults and people with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to events, and support their quality of life.

The role requires 1+ years of experience in a similar position or a Certificate III in Individual Support for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates genuine passion for supporting older adults and people with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with clients.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in community services or aged care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities (personal care, meals, routines).
• Accompany clients to appointments, social activities and events.
• Provide emotional support and meaningful engagement to improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Follow all policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
