Job summary

Just Better Care is recruiting casual Support Workers to join the Queensland team servicing the Hervey Bay region. You will provide in-home aged care and disability support, enabling clients to live independently.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, or Home & Community Care (preferred).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (if applicable).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Federal Police Check, Yellow Card, and Blue Card.
• Australian Driver's Licence.
• Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance preferred).
• Smartphone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance.
• Assisting with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offering social support and transport for appointments, shopping, and community outings.
• Helping customers safely use mobility aids and equipment (e.g., hoists, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Supporting clients with complex or challenging care needs.
• Monitoring customer well-being and reporting any changes or concerns.
• Attending staff meetings and participating in required training sessions.

Education
