Job summary

Westhaven Limited in Dubbo invites applications for a Caseworker on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will coordinate casework for Children and Young People with significant disability, ensuring plans are timely and outcomes are person-centred.

The role requires trauma-informed practice knowledge, strong data handling, and collaboration across a therapeutic care team. Applicants must meet essential Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Children and Young Person (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and NSW Child Safe Standards.
• Understanding of supports for children with significant disabilities.
• Knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal communities in OOHC.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of Therapeutic Care Team managing casework for CYP in care.
• Develop, review and implement Case Plans within set timeframes.
• Maintain regular contact with children and monitor wellbeing.
• Collect and record data in a timely way.
• Ensure casework aligns with NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian.
