Job summary

GEODIS in Sydney seeks a Cartage Coordinator to manage shipments across Air, Sea, and Road, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to minimise delays. The role supports flexible working arrangements, with opportunities for part-time, full-time or hybrid schedules in Matraville.

Responsibilities include shipment tracking, documentation control, and timely communication of delays to customers, leveraging EDI-Cargo Wise and strong data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in cartage operations or freight forwarding is required.

• Data accuracy and system literacy are important for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments with airlines or freight forwarders and release to GEODIS for clearance with minimal delays.
• Coordinate with interstate carriers to meet delivery needs across all modes (Air/LCL/FCL).
• Ensure carriers have correct documentation promptly.
• Provide relevant information to interstate offices to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain shipment status and notes in CargoWise/EDI.

We are excited to announce an opening for a Cartage Coordinator (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Sydney office! Your purpose:

• Tracking of shipments through airlines or other freight forwarders and ensuring they are released to GEODIS for clearance with minimal delays
• Communicate effectively with various intra and interstate carriers to ensure customers delivery needs are met – all modes AIR/LCL/FCL
• Ensure all carriers have correct documentation in timely manner
• Provide interstate offices all relevant job information to ensure customers' requirements are met
• Maintain shipment status details and running commentary in CargoWise/EDI so accurate records are kept
• Liaising with our customs broker to ensure that shipments run smoothly for specific accounts
• Invoice all files accurately and in timely manner in line with customer and branch KPI’s
• Process Creditor invoices
• Manage and maintain ACR
• Communicating all delays and issues to our customers

You'll bring:

• Minimum 1 years’ experience in cartage operations within the industry
• Understanding of Australian wharf, depot, airlines, and transport operations
• Knowledge of system literacy and data accuracy
• Time management and prioritising skills
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Experience with EDI-Cargo Wise software strongly preferred
