Job summary

Agostino Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead the performance of multiple Carl's Jr. locations in Queensland.

You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to Restaurant Managers, ensuring consistent brand execution, strong customer experiences, and solid financial results across the portfolio. Reporting to the State General Manager QLD, you will drive sales, control labour and food costs, coach leaders, and build a high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-site management experience in QSR or high-volume hospitality.
• Strong P&L and cost-management knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead and develop managers.
• Analytical thinker who translates data into actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Organisational skills across multiple locations.
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel between locations.

The Agostino Group is a proudly South Australian owned company with our head office based in Adelaide. We currently own and operate 9 Carl's Jr. restaurants in South Australia and 6 in Queensland.

About the role

• Reporting to the State General Manager of QLD, this role is responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of multiple QSR locations. You will provide strategic and hands‑on leadership to Restaurant Managers and their teams, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, exceptional customer experiences, strong financial performance, and a high‑performing team culture across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, systems, procedures, and brand expectations across all restaurants.


• Conduct regular restaurant visits, operational reviews, and performance assessments.


• Identify operational gaps and implement effective action plans to improve performance.


• Support Restaurant Managers in managing operational challenges and achieving business objectives.


• Lead, coach, and develop Restaurant Managers and leadership teams.


• Build a strong culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.


• Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings and performance reviews with Restaurant Managers.


• Take ownership of sales, profitability, and key financial performance across the assigned restaurant portfolio.


• Monitor and manage sales, labor costs, food costs, wastage, controllable expenses, and other key operating costs.


• Identify opportunities to increase sales through customer service, operational execution, local marketing, promotions, and product initiatives.

About you

• Proven experience in a multi‑site management role within QSR, hospitality, retail, or another high‑volume customer‑focused environment.


• Strong commercial understanding, including P&L management, labor optimization, food cost, and profitability.


• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Managers and leadership teams.


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical business actions.


• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.


• Current driver's license and willingness to travel between restaurant locations.
