Job summary

Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) is seeking Carers for our Armidale Village. This casual role involves assisting residents with personal care, meals, mobility and daily tasks to promote dignity and comfort.

You will join a supportive team and contribute to high-quality, person-centred care. Eligibility to work in Australia, a Certificate III in Aged Care and a current First Aid certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Enthusiastic and motivated approach preferred.
• Certificate III in Aged Care is required; First Aid is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide wide range of personal care services to residents.
• Assist with meals, dressing, grooming and bed making.
• Provide basic clinical care and record observations in iCare.
• Support care management for conditions like diabetes and arthritis.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Position Information:

We are currently seeking aged care Carers to join our wonderful team and work at our Armidale Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

We are an award winning, leading aged care provider delivering best quality aged care services that are making a difference in people’s lives.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care

What we look for:

• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in an aged care environment
• An enthusiastic and motivated approach
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid police check clearance
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
