Job summary

RFBI is seeking an experienced aged care carer for our Cessnock Masonic Village. The role involves delivering personal care services and supporting residents in a respectful, person-centred manner.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in an aged care environment is preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.
• Valid police check clearance is required.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with showering, dressing, grooming, meals, and bed making.
• Provide basic clinical care including wound dressing, medication delivery, and basic observations.
• Manage care for conditions such as diabetes and arthritis under supervision.
• Record observations and reports in the iCare system.
• Follow directions of the Care Manager to deliver person-centred care.

Position Information:

We are currently seeking an experienced aged care carer to join our wonderful team and work at our Cessnock Masonic Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care
