Job summary

HammondCare's Respite Cottages in Wahroonga & Terrey Hills are seeking a dedicated Specialised Carer to deliver personalised care for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. You'll provide personal care, follow individual care plans, and support guests across morning, afternoon and night shifts, ensuring dignity and independence in a home-like environment.

The role offers hourly rates from $32.91 to $36.50 with penalties, comprehensive training and career pathways within HammondCare.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is required.
• First Aid certificate desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.

About the role

• In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages.
• Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50- P/H + penalties

Shifts include: (You must be able to do a mix of below)

• 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
• 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
• 21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

About you

• Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
• you're a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care
• you have a valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car
• ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help
• First Aid certificate desirable
• Empathy and compassion are a must
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
