Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking experienced Care Assistants to join its aged care facilities in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie in permanent part-time roles. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to gain further experience in a great team environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or RN student.
• Flexibility to work morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Current First AidCertificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document residents' care/progress.
• Current driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo a functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
• Current NDIS Check.
• National Police Check (the Diocese will consider relevance of outcomes).

• Actively promote Anglican Care’s positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and their families.
• Consistent delivery of person centered care to residents in our facilities.
• Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications.
• Abide by Aged Care Standards.
