Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking Care Assistants for casual shifts across Mid North Coast facilities at Taree and Gloucester, NSW. Join a multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent, compassionate care to residents in our aged care home.

Shifts include morning, afternoon and night. The role offers a supportive team and opportunities for development within a faith-based organisation that values wellbeing of residents.

Qualifications

• Healthcare support experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Maintain confidentiality in documentation and communications.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote Anglican Care’s positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and their families
• Consistent delivery of person centered care to residents in our facilities
• Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications

The Opportunity:

Newcastle Anglican are seeking experienced Care Assistants to join on a casual basis working across our Mid North Coast facilities Taree + Gloucester NSW.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care home.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to work in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.

Shifts include Morning + Afternoon + Night shifts covering leave periods.

About you:

• Certificate III/IV in Individual or Ageing Support, or 2nd/3rd Yr RN student
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
• An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to accurately document residents care/progress
