Job summary

Ozcare in Port Douglas is hiring full-time Care Assistants to support our clients at our Aged Care Facility. You will provide personalised care, assist with daily living activities, support independence, and help with medications under supervision. A warm, caring nature and flexibility with rosters are essential.

Qualifications

• Vaccination against influenza and at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
• National Police Screening Check (valid within last 3 years).
• Certificate III in Aged Care or related field as listed.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provide best possible care in line with personalised care plans.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care.
• Assist with medications as required.
• Support clients to develop skills for independence.
• Work as part of the care team using a holistic approach.

Job description

Ozcare has full-time permanent opportunities available for Care Assistants supporting our clients at our beautiful Port Douglas Aged Care Facility.

Your Role

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care
