Job summary

Ozcare in Innisfail is hiring four casual Care Assistants to support residents at our aged care facility. You will provide compassionate care per personalised plans, assist with daily activities and help residents maintain independence.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, with First Aid/CPR, a valid police check, and influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Computer and mobile skills are desirable; health and wellbeing valued.

Qualifications

• Warm and caring nature and positive attitude to health and wellbeing.
• Flexibility to work a varied roster.
• Good computer and mobile device skills.
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent) and First Aid/CPR.
• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years) and vaccinations as required.

Ozcare is looking to fill 4 casual positions for Care Assistants supporting our clients at our beautiful Innisfail Aged Care Facility.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care
