Job summary

Ozcare Mackay is seeking Casual Care Assistants to join our team. You will look after our clients with empathy, deliver personalised care plans, assist with daily living activities and support independence in a warm, respectful environment.

Role requires a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), First Aid & CPR, a current Police check, influenza and Covid-19 vaccination, and good computer/mobile device skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years).
• Vaccination against Influenza and at least 1 dose of Covid-19.
• Good computer and mobile device skills.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients.

Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care
