SQ Cardiology in Cleveland, Australia seeks an experienced Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy specialist cardiology clinic. You will manage the administrative team, coordinate clinic workflow, and ensure efficient billing, documentation, and patient care processes.

The role emphasises hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills, and collaboration with cardiologists and staff to maintain outstanding patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager within a medical practice is essential.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Experience with medical billing, Medicare and private patient billing.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident managing competing priorities in a busy medical environment.
• Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team leader.
• Professional and patient-focused approach.
• Experience within a specialist medical practice is highly regarded.
• Experience with Xestro is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice.
• Lead, support and manage the reception and administration team.
• Coordinate staff rosters and ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
• Manage staff training, workflow and performance.
• Oversee consultation, cardiac investigation and inpatient billing.
• Monitor outstanding billing and follow up unresolved items.
• Ensure patient registrations, referrals and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate the distribution and follow-up of cardiac investigation reports.
• Liaise with Cardiologists, patients, referring doctors and external providers.
• Coordinate operational meetings, agendas and meeting minutes.
• Manage day-to-day staffing and operational issues.
• Maintain practice procedures, staff documentation and compliance requirements.
• Support the smooth running and continuous improvement of practice systems and processes.
