Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our reception and administration team and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy general practice.

The role oversees non-clinical operations, including staff management, regulatory compliance, business systems and patient services, working closely with GPs to maintain an efficient patient-centred environment while contributing to growth and success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Practice Management or senior medical administration role is essential.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with practice management software (Best Practice is highly regarded).
• Knowledge of Medicare, billing, accounts and general practice operations.
• Professional, empathetic and approachable demeanour.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and service.
• Attention to detail and a focus on compliance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day to day operations of the practice.
• Management and supporting the reception and administration team.
• Billing, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with RACGP standards, Medicare requirements and other regulatory bodies.
• Implementing and maintaining practice policies, procedures and systems.
• Liaising with GP’s, staff, patients and external providers.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
• Supporting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
